Alex Johnston has worked in the safari industry since arriving in Africa in 1996.  Green from England she found herself in the middle of the Okavango Delta in a job for which she held no credentials for - except an embryonic love for the African Wilderness and the desire to follow her dreams.

Over the years she has worked at lodges in Botswana and South Africa.  From lodge  management she moved  into tour operation before finally finding a niche in Reservations & Marketing.  

Her years within the Industry brings an understanding for all the components involved and therefore she can successfully bring exciting and unique products to the table.

Kevin and Alex met whilst working together at Kings Pool in the Linyanti Region of Botswana - and sharing the same interest in wildlife and safaris soon ensured that not only would they share their life together but also eventually their business.

Kevin joined the Tortilis Team in 2016 and started by hosting FAM Trips to the Tortilis lodges and their neighbours - ensuring that an understanding of the region and logistical details are included.

Tortilis tries to be involved in as many relevant marketing intiatives as possible -choosing strategic marketing events that suits the partners and their budget. Trade Shows, Roadshows, Training sessions, FAM Trips - we work together to ensure the news is spread far and wide.

Kevin and Alex have recently added Guest Experience Consultation service to their portfolio, offering over 50 years of combined hospitality experience for lodges to make use of.
